Trustworthy autonomy depends on a visible boundary between intent, authority, current evidence, security, and escalation. The enterprise must distinguish action from justified action.

The real shift is not faster automation but the dissolution of the old enterprise model built around human coordination. Governance becomes operational when policy, review routing, and completion are visible in the living system rather than trapped in static docs. In runtime-first architecture, inspection is part of the control surface: it reduces ambiguity, preserves safer escalation, and makes compliance and execution easier to reason about together.

Security in agentic systems cannot be a static perimeter check. It becomes a continuous runtime decision: Which actions are safe? What gates must pass? What evidence do we require? The architecture answer is explicit security gates at execution time, tier-specific controls, and machine-verifiable evidence quality.
